Baek Jong Won, CEO of TheBorn Korea and well-known television personality, is mourning the loss of his mother.
On February 10, Baek’s mother, Lee Kyung Sook, passed away at the age of 86.
The funeral altar will be set up at Room 31 of Seoul St. Mary’s Funeral Hall. The funeral procession is scheduled for February 13, and she will be laid to rest in Seogeyang-ri, Sin-yang-myeon, Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province.
Baek Jong Won has previously spoken openly about his deep affection and gratitude toward his mother. In a 2022 video on his YouTube channel, he shared, “When I said I wanted to go into business, my grandparents strongly opposed it. My mother was scolded many times because of me. She endured a kind of hardship similar to strict in-law treatment. I am most grateful to my mother, and also deeply sorry to her. She was reprimanded many times by my grandmother because of me.”
