Group WHIB (Kim Junmin, Ha Seung, Jinbeom, Yugeon, Leejeong, Jaeha, and Wonjun) has released a highlight medley video featuring previews of all five tracks from their first mini album 'ROCK THE NATION'.
The album’s title track, “ROCK THE NATION,” which shares its name with the album, puts WHIB’s intense and explosive synergy front and center, delivering an immediately overpowering sound. Layered vocals built powerfully over heavy instrumentals unleash high energy, while the fast-paced progression and surging emotional line heighten anticipation for the group’s performance.
Track 1, “WHO’S THE NEXT,” composed with participation from members Ha Seung and Kim Junmin, ignites a sense of drive through confident declarations and rapping. This is followed by “DDANG,” for which Ha Seung contributed to the lyrics, capturing the group’s wit and swagger; “ELEVATE,” which portrays an unstoppable upward trajectory; and “NO SHINE,” written and composed with involvement from Leejeong, Kim Junmin, and Ha Seung, expressing heartfelt sincerity toward fans. Together, the five tracks signal a well-rounded and cohesive first mini album.
Prepared approximately two years and two months after their debut, ROCK THE NATION clearly defines WHIB’s identity and future direction. With the members directly involved in the songwriting process, the album showcases WHIB’s unique narrative and firm musical confidence throughout.
Last year, WHIB gained attention through promotions for their fourth single “BANG OUT,” which highlighted a powerful heavy metal-inspired sound and explosive performances. Members Kim Junmin, Leejeong, and Wonjun also displayed their skills on 'Boys 2 Planet. After reorganizing as a seven-member group, WHIB is set to embark on their first solo fan concert tour 'AnD : New Chapter', visiting Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Osaka, and Taipei.
WHIB’s first mini album ROCK THE NATION will be released on January 29th at 6:00 PM KST across major music platforms.
