Actor So Ji Sub is making a highly anticipated return to SBS, marking his first appearance on the network in 13 years since the hit drama 'Master's Sun.'
So Ji Sub has been confirmed as the lead of SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama 'Manager Kim,' scheduled to air in 2026. His return is drawing major attention as it follows the immense success of Master's Sun, which became a nationwide sensation in 2013.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, 'Manager Kim' is an action chase drama that tells the story of an ordinary office worker and devoted father, 'Manager Kim,' portrayed by So Ji Sub. When his beloved daughter suddenly disappears, he is forced to confront a past he has long concealed in order to find her.
In the drama, So Ji Sub plays Manager Kim, a former elite special operations agent once dispatched to North Korea. While he has been living a quiet life after hiding his dangerous past, his daughter’s disappearance pushes him to reveal his true abilities. The role is expected to highlight both his trademark intense action scenes and a more mature portrayal of deep paternal love.
