Actor Lee Seo Jin is set to appear on the theater stage for the first time in his 27-year career.
According to reports on January 7, Lee Seo Jin has been cast in the play 'Uncle Vanya', marking a new challenge in his acting journey.
'Uncle Vanya' is a reinterpretation of the classic work 'Uncle Vanya' by renowned Russian playwright Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. The production portrays the illusions of power and the pain of love, candidly reflecting the conflicts of modern society. Earlier, LG Arts Center had announced Uncle Vanya as part of its highly anticipated 2026 lineup.
Lee Seo Jin made his debut in 1999 with the drama House on the Waves and has since appeared in five films, as well as dozens of television dramas and variety shows. Theater, however, is a genre he has never attempted before, making this his first stage performance since debut and a significant new step in his career.
