Actress Lee Na Young is set to return to the TV after a three-year hiatus, choosing new drama "Honor".
A press conference for the series was held on January 26 at The Saint Grand Ballroom in D-Cube City, Seoul. "Honor" is a mystery legal drama that follows three female lawyers who confront a haunting past that resurfaces as a major scandal.
Lee plays Yoon Ra Young, the public-facing spokesperson of L&J (Listen & Join), a law firm specializing in representing victims of sexual crimes. Describing her character, Lee said Yoon appears to be a celebrity lawyer on the surface but carries deep emotional wounds beneath. “She confronts those scars and endures them while boldly throwing herself into the work she believes she must do,” Lee explained.
The drama marks Lee’s first television appearance since the 2023 "One Day Off". Explaining her decision to return with "Honor", Lee said the script immediately drew her in. “It read like a mystery novel that I couldn’t put down,” she said, adding that the dialogue felt raw and layered, making her want to immerse herself in the story.
Lee also expressed confidence in director Park Gun Ho, saying their creative sensibilities aligned well. “After meeting the director, I felt I could trust him and follow his lead,” she noted.
She further shared her anticipation for working alongside co-stars Jung Eun Chae and Lee Chung Ah. “At first, our pairing might seem unexpected, but that sense of contrast felt fresh and intriguing,” Lee said. “Even I was curious to see how it would look on screen, and I really looked forward to working with them.”
"Honor" is scheduled to premiere on February 2.
