tvN has assembled a promising rising star cast for a heart-fluttering new office romance, 'My Idol's Employee' (working title).
Starring Kang Hoon, Kim Hye Joon, and Cha Wo Min, 'My Idol's Employee' is based off of a hit Naver Webtoon series by Sung Eun, titled 'My Oppa is an Idol'. It follows a K-Pop fan girl whose dream is to work for a company where she can meet her "bias" in real-life.
In the story, Kim Hye Joon will take on the female lead, Nam Da Reum. She has been a fan of an idol named Lee Chan for 11-years. All because of her undying love for Lee Chan, Nam Da Reum passes up a chance to work at a large corporation and instead finds a job at 'Apello', a start-up fashion company.
Opposite Kim Hye Joon, Kang Hoon tries out a cold and calculating boss-type, Kang Ha Ki, the CEO of 'Apello'. Known for his cool charisma on the outside and warm personality on the inside, Kang Ha Ki's perfection begins to crumble thanks to a new employee.
Finally, Cha Woo Min has been cast in the role of Lee Chan, an idol, actor, and an icon loved by all, but who harbors a deep loneliness in his heart.
The heart-fluttering new office romance is slated to air on tvN in the second half of 2026.
