Jessi was previously embroiled in controversy in 2024 after allegations surfaced that she failed to intervene when a fan was assaulted by members of her entourage. She was questioned by Gangnam Police Station in Seoul as a suspect, but the case was ultimately dropped with a decision not to indict, bringing the controversy to a close.
After briefly pausing her activities, Jessi resumed her career in November with the release of her fourth EP, 'Pretty Mood Swings (P.M.S.)'.
