Jennie is set to carry out a tense first mission on the premiere of the new MBC variety show'The Secret Friends Club'.
Directed by Kim Tae Ho, 'The Secret Friends Club' is an undercover reality program based on the concept of a "society of people who know how to give back twice what they receive." The show features a cast including Jennie, Dex, Choo Sung Hoon, Noh Hong Chul, and Lee Soo Ji, who must complete secret missions to deliver gifts to their assigned partners without revealing their identities.
A pre-release clip for the first episode shows Jennie personally driving to find her target, Dex. The footage captures her meticulously—yet somewhat clumsily—planning how to deliver her first gift while remaining undetected, adding a layer of humor to the suspense.
At the same time, Dex was shown eating tonkatsu while briefing his own plan to deliver a gift to his assigned partner, Choo Sung Hoon. As Jennie arrived near Dex's location after tracking his movements, she grew visibly flustered by the risk of being caught. "I feel like a secret agent," Jennie remarked, expressing her nervousness over the challenging mission.
A particularly tense moment occurred when Jennie arrived at the restaurant just as Dex was stepping out. Startled, Jennie quickly turned her car around and jumped out, attempting to blend in with a black "undercover" outfit as she cautiously approached him.
The tension peaked when Jennie brushed right past Dex as he was getting into his own vehicle to head toward Choo Sung Hoon. Mistakenly believing Dex was inside a nearby gym, Jennie whispered, "I think he's in there," while carefully scanning her surroundings. Fans are eager to see if Jennie can successfully deliver her first gift without being exposed.
The first episode of 'The Secret Friends Club', featuring Jennie, Dex, Choo Sung Hoon, Noh Hong Chul, and Lee Soo Ji, will air today, Feb. 1, 2026, at 6:10 PM KST.
