Funky Studio, the production company behind the MBC show 'Sodun Fantasy - After School Excitement Season 2', has issued a stern warning to the organizers of Yu Junwon's unauthorized fan meeting.
On Feb. 1, 2026 KST, Funky Studio announced that it would immediately hold My Entertainment, the event organizer, legally accountable and seek damages if they proceed with ticket sales for Yu Junwon's Japan fan meeting, which are scheduled to open at 6:00 PM KST today.
Yu Junwon recently announced the ticket opening through his personal social media account. This follows a previous incident in 2024 where a performance was canceled after being organized without the production company's consent. This latest attempt was also flagged in advance by fans of FANTASY BOYS.
The production company expressed deep regret over the actions of My Entertainment. They pointed out that it is a long-standing custom in the Japanese entertainment industry to refrain from activities when a legal dispute between an artist and an agency is ongoing. Proceeding with the event under such circumstances is viewed as a breach of industry ethics.
In response, Funky Studio is launching a joint legal front with Kiss Entertainment, the group's Japanese management agency. A representative stated, "We will immediately send a certification of contents and file an injunction to prohibit the performance against My Entertainment for supporting activities despite being aware of the contract violation."
Yu Junwon is currently facing a damages lawsuit worth approximately $2.2 million USD following his loss in a preliminary injunction case regarding his exclusive contract. Funky Studio emphasized, "We will maintain a zero-tolerance policy against Yu Junwon and the parties behind him for continuing unauthorized activities before legal proceedings are concluded."
