Stray Kids will star in their very own Lunar New Year special program, airing on KBS.
Titled 'Soul Beam - Woke Up in the Joseon Period', the program aims to introduce Korea's soul and light by fusing K-Pop and traditional Korean culture. The program's premise follows Stray Kids as they wake up and find that they've time slipped into the Joseon period, and the members must fulfill various missions inspired by traditional culture to return to the present.
Following the program's title in Korean, "Seolbim" (which means "to wear new clothes in the New Year"), all cast members as well as the live audience will wear hanbok while participating. In particular, Stray Kids intend to showcase a conceptual hanbok style that embodies their sound and worldview.
Hosted by Lee Soo Geun and Jonathan, 'Soul Beam - Woke Up in the Joseon Period' will air during the Lunar New Year holidays, which falls around February 17 KST. A live audience recording will take place on January 17 KST.
