Stray Kids are gearing up to grace Korean TV screens this Lunar New Year, as the group is set to appear on KBS’s upcoming holiday special variety program ‘Seolbim (설빔)’, according to new reports.
On December 12, Korean media revealed that Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N) have been invited as guests for the new KBS special currently in preparation. The show’s title, Seolbim, refers to the tradition of wearing new clothes during Lunar New Year, symbolizing renewal and celebration.
Unlike typical studio-based variety shows, ‘Seolbim’ is expected to adopt a casual, reality-style format, capturing the free, unfiltered, and natural day-to-day lives of idol members. Fans can look forward to seeing a more relaxed, playful side of Stray Kids—an aspect that has earned them praise in past variety appearances.
Still, excitement is high, as Stray Kids enter their 8th year with unstoppable momentum. The group continues to dominate global charts: their SKZHOP Hiptape ‘HOP’ and 4th full-length album ‘KARMA’ recently ranked No. 1 and No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums year-end chart, replicating their 2024 achievement. They also secured top spots across Billboard categories including World Album Artists (No. 1), Top Album Sales Artists (No. 2), and Billboard 200 Duo/Group (No. 4).
Their latest release, DO IT, is showing equal strength—landing at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 dated Dec. 13, marking its second week in the chart’s upper ranks following a massive No. 1 debut.
Stay tuned for updates on the broadcast date and full lineup for KBS’s Lunar New Year special.
