Singer Jo Hyun Ah has sparked divided reactions online after sharing photos from her year-end Christmas home party.
On December 15, the singer posted several photos on her social media account along with the caption, “Christmas hosts Dae Seon and Hyun Joo couple’s party—love you, my friends.” The images captured a lively gathering attended by multiple celebrities and influencers, including singer P.O., all dressed in festive costumes as they enjoyed the party.
Sharing her excitement, Jo Hyun Ah wrote, “Do I even need to say more? All the fatigue of the year just melts away. These are friends who can’t have fun without costumes. It’s scary how we keep evolving,” adding, “Let’s discuss what we’ll transform into next time.”

In the released photos, Jo Hyun Ah drew attention with a mustard-colored costume and a red-painted nose, highlighting a playful and cute charm. P.O., dressed as Santa Claus with a full white beard, completed the holiday atmosphere as he cheerfully raised a beer glass.
However, not all responses were positive. The timing of the party photos drew criticism amid heightened sensitivity in the entertainment industry following recent controversy involving broadcaster Park Na Rae and allegations surrounding excessive drinking habits. As claims from Park’s former manager circulated—alleging forced drinking and inappropriate behavior—some netizens argued that publicly celebrating a drinking party was “inappropriate given the current situation.”

Others, however, responded more favorably, leaving comments such as “It looks fun” and “So cute,” reflecting the divided public opinion.
Jo Hyun Ah debuted in 2009 as the sole female member of the co-ed vocal group Urban Zakapa, earning widespread praise for her powerful high notes and signature husky, groove-filled vocal tone. She later showcased a different side of herself through the MBC variety project group WSG Wannabe, where she took on dance music.
Currently, she runs her personal content channel 'Jo Hyun Ah’s Ordinary Thursday Night' and continues her active career through variety show appearances, including SBS’s 'My Little Old Boy,' maintaining a strong presence across multiple platforms.
