Rosé has been named one of this year’s Global Hitmakers by 'Variety', the leading U.S. entertainment industry magazine.
According to The Black Label, Rosé received the honor at the 2025 ‘Hitmakers’ awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on December 6 (local time). The ‘Hitmakers’ awards recognize artists who have contributed to producing the most popular and impactful songs of the year.
Rosé won the Global Hitmaker of the Year award, marking a rare achievement for a female K-pop solo artist in a major U.S. media recognition. The win highlights the worldwide impact of her global mega-hit single ‘APT.’ and her first full-length album ‘rosie.’
Accepting her trophy on stage, Rosé shared, “Thank you so much for this incredible award. The past year has been filled with moments I never imagined, and watching my song ‘APT.’ grow with so much love has been truly exciting.” She continued, “I also want to thank everyone at The Black Label and my mentor, producer Teddy, for supporting and guiding me through such an unbelievably busy year.”
Rosé’s ‘APT.’ created a global sensation, breaking chart records worldwide immediately after its release. She also made history at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first K-pop artist to win the top category, Song of the Year, one of the four major U.S. music award ceremonies.
In addition, she earned nominations at the Grammy Awards, considered the highest honor in the American music industry, for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, becoming the first K-pop act to be nominated in two of the main Grammy categories.
Rosé is currently continuing her busy schedule, including her headline world tour ‘DEADLINE,’ as she expands her global influence even further.
