tvN’s upcoming weekend drama 'Undercover Miss Hong,' set to premiere next January, is a retro office comedy set in the late 1990s. The series follows Hong Geum Bo (played by Park Shin Hye), a highly accomplished securities supervisor in her 30s, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm after suspicious financial activity is detected. What unfolds is a chaotic and humorous double life filled with unexpected challenges.
In the drama, Park Shin Hye portrays Hong Geum Bo, a character who must suppress her age, education, and even her pride to carry out an undercover mission. Hong Geum Bo is a fully trained elite and an unapologetic perfectionist, known as the “Yeouido Witch” and recognized as the first female supervisor in the Capital Markets Investigation Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Service. However, at the age of 35, she is suddenly tasked with living a second life as a 20-year-old high school graduate office assistant, setting the stage for a tense and gripping story.
