Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin will appear on the YouTube program The Genre is Yeouido, where she is expected to speak about her ongoing 26 billion KRW (approximately 20 million USD) lawsuit with HYBE.
On December 3, the YouTube channel announced her appearance through a post titled 'The 26 billion KRW (approximately 20 million USD) Trial: Min Hee Jin’s Life or Death Showdown.' The channel also wrote, “During Min Hee Jin’s questioning that lasted over five hours and still could not be completed, what was said?” The episode featuring Min is scheduled to be released the following day.
Min is expected to address the dispute with HYBE regarding the put option, which is a contractual right to sell her shares at a predetermined price. The disagreement over this right has led to the current legal battle.
On November 27, the Seoul Central District Court Civil Agreement Division 31 held the third hearing in the case involving Min and HYBE. The case concerns the validity of their shareholder agreement and Min’s claim to exercise her put option. During this hearing, Min underwent a long round of questioning.
In November 2024, shortly after she announced her resignation as an internal director of ADOR, Min notified HYBE that she intended to exercise her put option valued at approximately 26 billion KRW. She then filed a lawsuit demanding payment.
According to ADOR’s audit report released in April 2024, Min owns 573,160 shares, which represents 18 percent of the company. Based on these holdings, the value of her put option is estimated at about 26 billion KRW (approximately 20 million USD).
HYBE has stated that it terminated the shareholder agreement with Min in July 2024 for reasons including damage to trust. The company argues that the termination invalidates Min’s put option rights. Both sides remain in a tense legal confrontation as the case continues.
