Actress Lee Na Young is set to return to the small screen, taking on a role of a lawyer.
Lee Na Young will star in the Genie TV original drama 'Honor: Her Courtroom (working English title)' (written by Park Ga Yeon, directed by Park Gun Ho), marking her return to the small screen after nearly three years since 'One Day Off.'
'Honor: Her Courtroom' is a mystery-investigation drama adapted from the Swedish series of the same name. The story follows three female lawyers who confront a massive scandal rooted in their past.
Ahead of its premiere, the production revealed photos from the script reading session, attended by director Park Gun Ho, writer Park Ga Yeon, and cast members Lee Na Young, Jung Eun Chae, Lee Chung Ah, Yeon Woo Jin, Seo Hyun Woo, Choi Young Joon, and Kim Mi Sook.
Lee Na Young plays Yoon Ra Young, one of the managing partners at L&J, a law firm specializing in cases involving female victims of crime. She delivers a chilling performance that layers a sharp, aggressive edge beneath her character’s polished smile.
Jung Eun Chae portrays lawyer Kang Shin Jae, a pillar-like figure who anchors the team. Her signature low, steady voice blends seamlessly with the character’s strong convictions, commanding attention throughout the room.
Lee Chung Ah takes on the role of lawyer Hwang Hyun Jin, fully embodying a lively and justice-driven character. Her rough breathing, firm delivery, and fiery energy add an extra layer of realism.
The trio’s acting chemistry further heightens anticipation. In the drama, they are portrayed as college classmates of 20 years who have become colleagues, with their strong sense of solidarity hinting at powerful on-screen synergy.
The actresses shared, “Our chemistry feels strong,” adding, “This will be a drama filled with depth, intensity, and momentum, as it unravels the hidden secrets of three friends and a massive truth.”
Elsewhere in the cast, Yeon Woo Jin plays Baek Tae Joo, the CEO of an IT company, while Seo Hyun Woo appears as prosecutor Park Je Yeol, who stands in opposition to the three lawyers of L&J. Choi Young Joon transforms into Koo Sun Gyu, a detective and Hyun Jin’s husband.
The production team commented, “The actors’ passionate performances, combined with a tightly woven narrative, have created an even more powerful world. Even during the script reading alone, the tension was palpable.”
They added, “Like the fiery energy of the Red Horse year in 2026, we aim to present a well-made investigative drama that will satisfy even viewers with discerning tastes. We ask for your strong support.”
'Honor: Her Courtroom' will premiere on February 2 at 10 PM next year.
