Global fan platform Weverse has confirmed internal misconduct involving a staff member and has taken swift follow-up measures in response to allegations related to fan signing event information leaks.
The controversy erupted after screenshots of mobile messenger conversations, allegedly involving a Weverse employee and an acquaintance, circulated across online communities. The captured messages appeared to show the employee checking or referencing the results of fan signing event lotteries for specific individuals.
In response, Weverse Company immediately launched a fact-finding investigation. The company confirmed that the incident constituted misconduct by an employee in violation of internal policies and employment regulations.

In an official statement shared with this outlet, Weverse said, “Our investigation confirmed that the employee’s actions caused harm to both customers and the company.” The company added, “The individual has been immediately removed from their duties and referred to the personnel committee,” noting that “legal action is also under review.”
Weverse also plans to address the impact on affected users. The company stated it will issue apologies to customers who suffered damages and provide a detailed explanation of the disciplinary measures taken against the individual involved.
“To prevent similar incidents from recurring, we will conduct company-wide employee training and further strengthen our internal control systems,” Weverse said.
