IVE’s Leeseo will be stepping down from SBS 'Inkigayo'.
On December 3 KST, the production team of SBS 'Inkigayo' announced that Leeseo will leave her MC position after the December 7 broadcast.
Leeseo joined Inkigayo as an MC in April of last year and has brightened Sunday afternoons with her cheerful and lively hosting, earning strong affection from viewers. Due to her busy schedule, she will bid a bittersweet farewell, delivering her final greeting on the December 7 broadcast and wrapping up her one year and seven months as MC.
Choi Jang Won, the PD of Inkigayo, said, “The production team is truly sad to part ways with Leeseo, whom we deeply cherish. Her bright, energetic presence always lifted the spirits of the staff during our live broadcasts. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Leeseo for the love and dedication she has shown to Inkigayo and our team.”
He added, “It was an honor for Inkigayo to share the final moments of her teenage years, a time when she shined more brightly than ever. We hope her future is filled with even more radiant moments, and we sincerely wish to work with her again someday in another wonderful setting.”
Ahead of her final broadcast, Leeseo shared, “It was an honor to spend every Sunday with DIVE and the Inkigayo viewers over the past one year and seven months. Sundays truly felt like a gift to me. I’m sure there were times when I was clumsy since it was my first time, but thanks to the viewers who always supported me and sent so much love, I feel grateful to end this chapter happily.”
She continued, “To DIVE, who always cheered for MC Leeseo—I love you so much. I also want to thank the production staff, my agency staff, and my fellow MCs for their hard work. Although MC Leeseo is saying goodbye for now, I’ll return as IVE’s Leeseo with even better performances and activities, so please continue to support me.”
