As comedian Park Na Rae faces allegations of receiving illegal medical services from the so-called “injection aunt,” videos from MBC’s variety show 'I Live Alone' featuring her have been set to private, drawing attention.
On December 9th KST, posts circulated on online communities claiming that all kimchi-making episodes of 'I Live Alone' involving Park Na Rae had suddenly been hidden. According to the posts, channels such as 'Pick It', 'MBC entertainment', 'I Live Alone STUDIO', and 'MBC Official channel(엠뚜루마뚜루)' had made certain episodes unavailable.
The videos in question aired in December 2024, titled “Park Na Rae and Jung Jae Hyung’s Kimchi-Making Secrets” and “Park Na Rae X Jung Jae Hyung booking IV drips?! Legs shaking after hours of kimchi prep.” The episode featured Park Na Rae and Jung Jae Hyung making kimchi together.
In the replay version, after completing nearly 80 batches of kimchi, Jung Jae Hyung is heard saying, “Should I get an IV drip tomorrow when I make the reservation?” to which Park Na Rae responds, “Yes, let’s reserve our drips together.”
Although this may have simply been a comment about physical exhaustion, the episode’s privatization is widely interpreted as being linked to Park Na Rae’s ongoing controversy involving alleged illegal medical injections.
Online commenters reacted by saying, “I didn’t know she mentioned it so casually on broadcast,” “No wonder they rushed to hide it,” while others wrote, “We don’t know if that was the intention, but hiding everything makes it look suspicious,” and “The more they delete, the more questionable it gets.” Some also speculated, “What more will come out once the investigation starts?”
Following the controversy, posts and videos uploaded by “injection aunt” A spread rapidly across social media and online communities. A wrote captions such as “Comme Des~ what’s wrong?? It’s been over 10 years, why are you still glaring??” accompanied by a photo of a brown poodle. She also wrote, “I don’t know what’s on your mind, Comme Des. It’s been over 10 years—let’s get along now. Garçons doesn’t act like this, why do you?”
The dogs mentioned—Comme Des and Garçons—are the pets of SHINee’s Key, frequently shown on I Live Alone. A also posted another video saying, “Garçons, it’s been a while~ you’re still such a good boy. Comme Des, you’re guarding me to see whether I leave or not, aren’t you?”
A further tagged the UN Village in Hannam, where Key lived for four years before moving earlier this year. If the dogs pictured truly are Key’s pets, many speculate that Key may also have had some level of acquaintance with A—raising further curiosity about SHINee Key’s official stance.
Meanwhile, Park Na Rae continues to face allegations from former managers, including workplace bullying, failure to pay production expenses, and special assault. Her former managers recently announced plans to file a 100 million KRW damages suit with the Seoul Western District Court.
She is also accused of misusing company funds and receiving illegal medical treatments from an unlicensed practitioner.
On December 7th, A shared photos of herself wearing a lab coat at what she claimed was a hospital under Inner Mongolia’s Fugang Medical University, insisting she had served as the youngest professor there 12–13 years ago. She added that she had given lectures and media interviews but stopped due to COVID-19, saying, “Do you know my life? Don’t turn me into gossip.”
However, the post was deleted after questions arose regarding whether she holds a valid Korean medical license.
Medical professionals have since pointed out that administering IV drips and prescription drugs without a license is a clear violation of Korean medical law. Former Korean Medical Association pediatric division president Lim Hyun Taek wrote, “If A performed injections or medical procedures on Park Na Rae despite not being a doctor, it constitutes violations of the Medical Service Act, the Special Act on Health Crimes, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, and could also be considered fraud.” He added that he has also requested investigation into whether A’s husband, Park Na Rae’s manager, and Park Na Rae herself may have acted as co-conspirators or accomplices.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare stated that because the matter has already been reported and recognized by investigative authorities, they will monitor the progress and consider administrative investigations if necessary. They noted that while unlicensed individuals performing such acts are primarily liable, the patient may also be punished as an accomplice if they knowingly requested or participated in violations of medical law.
