Choi Jun Hee, daughter of late actress Choi Jin Sil, shared her honest thoughts following her appearance on KBS2’s ‘Gag Concert.’
On December 28, Choi took to social media, writing, “I brought my appearance anxiety all the way there. My close friends all know this, but I’m someone who suddenly feels sad whenever I look at my face. I feel like I might faint after seeing the unedited broadcast. Next year, I’ll try to love myself a little more.”
Earlier that day, Choi appeared on the ‘Gag Concert’ segment ‘Sotong King Malja Grandma,’ where she sat among the audience and opened up about her concerns. She revealed that while working as a model, she often compares herself to others, saying that seeing how kindness seems to come more easily to those considered beautiful makes her feel envious. She admitted to spending entire days using cosmetic apps and struggling with low appearance-related self-esteem despite styling herself and losing weight.
In response, comedian Kim Young Hee, who plays Malja Grandma, offered heartfelt advice, reminding Choi not to compare herself to others and emphasizing that many people already find her beautiful. She also pointed out that appearances can be deceiving and encouraged Choi to recognize compliments for what they are.
Choi Jun Hee currently stands at 170 cm tall and weighs 41 kg. She previously revealed that her weight had increased to 96 kg during her battle with lupus but was able to lose weight through treatment, diet, and consistent exercise. She has also openly discussed undergoing facial contouring as well as eye and nose procedures.
Through her personal channel, Choi recently shared plans for another cosmetic procedure, asking viewers to refrain from leaving malicious comments and stating that self-care is a lifelong process.
