Actor Ahn Bo Hyun warmed hearts by practicing meaningful giving.
Toward the end of the year, Ahn Bo Hyun donated 100 million KRW(approximately 70,000 USD) to the Community Chest of Korea, known as Love Fruit, continuing his commitment to sharing.
The donation will be used for vision-loss prevention programs for children and adolescents from low-income households through the Korea Foundation for the Prevention of Blindness. In particular, the funds will support surgery costs for children suffering from vision impairment due to conditions such as pediatric cataracts and retinal diseases, as well as rehabilitation treatment for children with low vision, helping them regain healthy eyesight and face the world more brightly.
Shared just ahead of Christmas, Ahn Bo Hyun’s donation is expected to serve as a warm gift of hope for children who have hesitated to seek treatment due to financial difficulties. His act of kindness is especially meaningful as it is not a one-time gesture but part of a years-long commitment to giving. In 2020, during the spread of COVID-19, he donated 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to childcare and welfare facilities as part of a relief campaign. In 2022, he also delivered sanitary products worth 50 million KRW to support women from vulnerable communities.
Through this latest contribution, Ahn Bo Hyun became the 3,800th member of the Community Chest of Korea’s high-value individual donor group, the Honor Society. With his sincerity evident in both his charitable work and acting career, Ahn Bo Hyun continues to spread positive influence, raising anticipation for his future endeavors.
Meanwhile, Ahn Bo Hyun recently received critical acclaim for his solid performance in the film ‘Pretty Crazy’ earning the Best New Actor award at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. He is also set to greet viewers in the upcoming tvN Monday–Tuesday drama 'Spring Fever', which premieres on January 5.
