The long-awaited series 'Villains' is finally set to premiere.
According to Herald POP on November 7, the TVing original series 'Villains' has confirmed its release date for December 18.
'Villains' is a crime drama that depicts the intense clashes and bloody confrontations among criminals surrounding a hyper-realistic counterfeit bill known as the “Supernote.”
The series is directed by Jin Hyuk, known for 'The Tale of Lady Ok,' 'The Legend of the Blue Sea,' and 'Master’s Sun,' with the script written by Kim Hyung Joon, who directed the film 'No Mercy.'
The project was initially scheduled for release in 2023, but its timeline was delayed after lead actor Kwak Do Won was booked on drunk driving charges in September 2022.
With the release date now confirmed, viewers can look forward to striking performances and transformations from Yoo Ji Tae and Lee Min Jung. The two are reuniting with director Jin Hyuk, who earned major praise for 'The Tale of Lady Ok,' which ended earlier this year, raising anticipation for their on-screen synergy.
Meanwhile, TVing has entered a strategic partnership with global OTT platform Disney+, officially launching a “TVing Collection” within Disney+ Japan.
