Stray Kids appeared as a full group for their first-ever interview on the JTBC 'Newsroom' on November 16, where they discussed their new album and record-breaking success.
The group recently made history with their 4th full album, 'KARMA'. It became their 7th consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, a "first in the chart's 70-year history." The album is also showing its staying power, remaining on the chart for 11 weeks.
"While we worked hard on previous albums, for 'KARMA', the members truly poured their bodies and souls into it," said member Han. "We were so moved by the great result, which feels like a gift from our STAYs (fandom name)."
To celebrate the record, producer J.Y. Park gave them an incredible gift: 160 don (approx. 21.3 ounces or 600g) of pure gold.
"He made us commemorative plaques with the details of our achievement," the members said. "It's a precious item we can keep on our display case forever." They then joked, "We should ask him to give us one every time we break another record."
When asked about their strong teamwork, the group said, "We talk to each other a lot. We love each other so much that we even meet up and hang out on our days off."
When the news anchor mentioned they might be doing interviews for their 30th or 40th anniversary concerts like the group g.o.d, the members replied, "That is our dream."
Stray Kids also looked back on their year, saying, "This was a year we received so much love. We've been to so many places on our world tour and received such a good influence. It's an unforgettable year."
Finally, the group announced that their new album, 'SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT'', will drop on November 21 at 2 PM KST (0 AM EST) with the double title tracks "DO IT" and "DIVINE".
