NewJeans has set yet another record in Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on November 27, the track “Ditto” from NewJeans’ single album OMG surpassed 300 million cumulative streams as of October 2025, earning a Triple Platinum certification in the streaming category.
NewJeans is the first K-pop girl group to receive Triple Platinum certification for streaming. Even across all of K-pop, only two artists have ever achieved this level of certification.
Released on December 19, 2022, “Ditto” is a reinterpretation of Baltimore club dance music infused with NewJeans’ unique sensibility. The song is characterized by dreamy humming, warm instrumentation, and the members’ gentle vocals. At the time, NewJeans entered both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100 just six months after debut with this track. In Korea, it topped the 2023 Melon Yearly Chart, setting numerous records for the group.
“Ditto” continues to enjoy unwavering popularity. At the Music Award Japan 2025 held this past May, the song won in the Best K-Pop Song in Japan category, showcasing the enduring power of NewJeans’ music.
In addition to “Ditto,” NewJeans also holds two Double Platinum streaming certifications (over 200 million streams) for “OMG” (August 2024) and “Hype Boy” (August 2025), as well as three Platinum certifications (over 100 million streams) for “ETA” (May 2024), “Super Shy” (May 2024), and “Attention” (August 2024).
