Actor Lee Jong Suk’s fan meeting has been abruptly canceled.
On November 17 KST, his agency A-Man Project (Ace Factory) announced through its official channels, “The 2025 Lee Jong Suk Asia Fanmeeting Tour [With: Just Like This] in Manila, scheduled to take place on November 30, 2025 at the Araneta Coliseum, has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.”
The agency explained, “After careful consideration, we decided to prioritize the safety of fans, the artist, and all staff members, as a large demonstration is scheduled to take place on the same day. We ask for your understanding regarding this decision.” They continued, “We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to this fan meeting and ask for your understanding for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation. We truly hope that Lee Jong Suk will be able to meet his Filipino fans again in the near future.” The notice also stated that refund information will be released through the local promoter’s official channels.
Manila is currently seeing protests after corruption allegations emerged surrounding a government-led flood prevention project. With an estimated 650,000 people participating, the agency appears to have made the decision to cancel the event due to serious safety concerns.
Local fans reacted with mixed emotions. While many expressed disappointment, they also commented, “Thank you for putting the safety of fans and the actor first,” “Safety comes first,” and “What matters is that Lee Jong Suk is safe.”
However, some fans expressed frustration, saying, “I already booked my flight to Manila and prepared fan support gifts—canceling without postponing is hard to accept,” and “Why not reschedule for next year instead of canceling?”
