Jeon Hyo Sung, formerly a member of the girl group Secret and now an established actress, has been confirmed to join the cast of the Netflix sequel 'Mission: Cross 2.'
According to a report by SPOTV News on November 4, Jeon Hyo Sung will make a special appearance in the film, marking her first on-screen role to be released to the public.
Although Jeon previously announced her big-screen debut through the film 'Bound to Be a Devil' (working title), due to scheduling, she is expected to meet audiences first through 'Mission: Cross 2.'
'Mission: Cross 2' is the sequel to Netflix’s hit action thriller Cross, which premiered in August last year. The original follows Kang Moo (played by Hwang Jung Min), a former agent living as an ordinary housewife while hiding her past, who becomes entangled in a dangerous mission. Alongside ace detective Mi Sun (portrayed by Yum Jung Ah), who misunderstands her husband’s secrets, the two find themselves drawn into a large-scale incident filled with suspense and action.

Upon release, 'Mission: Cross' topped Netflix’s global non-English film chart within three days, enjoying explosive popularity. Following its success, the sequel’s production was swiftly confirmed, with Hwang Jung Min and Yum Jung Ah reportedly in talks to return.
Since debuting with Secret in 2009, Jeon Hyo Sung has steadily built her acting career, appearing in dramas such as 'Cheo Yong,' 'My Dear Cat,' 'Introverted Boss,' 'Memorist,' and 'Wanted.' She also gained praise for her compelling performance as Oh Min Hye in Netflix’s 'Celebrity' (2023).
In 2024, she was cast in 'Bound to Be a Devil' (working title), a film inspired by real-life incidents, including the “Busan Assault Case” and the “Seohyeon Station Case,” signaling her official entry into the film industry. Fans are now eager to see what new side of Jeon Hyo Sung she will reveal in her special appearance in 'Mission: Cross 2.'
