Billlie member Siyoon is set to make her Hollywood debut with her first on-screen role.
According to her agency Mystic Story on November 5, Siyoon has confirmed her appearance in the Hollywood film 'Perfect Girl,' a thriller centered around the world of K-pop.
'Perfect Girl' portrays the intense desires, anxieties, and mysterious incidents that arise among trainees competing to become K-pop stars. The story revolves around a mysterious girl whose sudden appearance triggers shocking developments and unpredictable tension, promising to captivate audiences.
The film’s script is written by Lynn Q. Yu, selected for the 2023 Hollywood Black List of most anticipated projects, while director Hong Won Ki of Johnny Bros.—known for 'Zombie Hunter,' 'Seoul Ghost Story,' and 'The Cursed'—will helm the project. Production is handled by Badlands and Thunder Road Film.
Siyoon will translate her finely tuned stage presence and emotional depth to the screen, portraying a character whose passion for music, anxieties, and reactions to unexpected events reveal a complex psychological journey. Having previously collaborated with Johnny Bros on Billlie’s music videos such as “GingaMingaYo (The Strange World)” and “Patbingsu,” Siyoon is expected to bring a refined synergy to this new project.
The cast also includes Hollywood actor Adeline Rudolph, known for her role as Kitana in Mortal Kombat 2, and Arden Cho, the lead of Netflix’s animated series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' Siyoon will share scenes with them, building intricate emotional and suspenseful dynamics that heighten the film’s tension.
Meanwhile, Billlie recently showcased their global presence on Apple TV+’s 'KPOPPED' in September, performing alongside Patti LaBelle and Megan Thee Stallion, further solidifying their international recognition.
