izna has teamed up with the popular webtoon ‘Operation: True Love’ to deliver an emotional synergy.
The OST ‘Psycho’, sung by izna members Mai, Bang Jimin, Coco, Yoo Sarang, Choi Jeongeun, and Jeong Sebi, was released on November 18th KST through major online music platforms.
‘Psycho’ captures the increasingly confusing and inescapable emotions of falling deeper into someone, expressed through a repetitive melody line and witty lyrics. The track stands out with its intense drums and dreamy synth pads within a mellow drum-and-bass genre, highlighted by a transition into the Jerseyclub rhythm during the pre-chorus.
Despite this being izna’s first webtoon OST, the group adds brightness and charm with their refreshing, vibrant voices, enhancing the overall mood of the story. Their delicate interpretation of the confusion and endless thoughts that come with falling in love brings the emotions and narrative of the characters to life with depth and immersion.
A making film released alongside the song features izna recording in the studio. Describing ‘Psycho’, the members said, “It’s a mysterious, bouncy track that feels like stepping inside a video game,” and added, “It suits izna perfectly, so we worked really hard on it.” The clip also includes a mini-interview that showcases the group’s candid, everyday charm, drawing enthusiastic responses from fans.
The webtoon ‘Operation: Pure Love’ won the Excellence Award at the 2021 Naver Webtoon ‘Greatest Contest on Earth’, and is set in a unique world where “each person has a predetermined amount of love they will receive in their lifetime.” Its retro-inspired illustrations and appealing characters have helped it consistently rank among the top Saturday webtoons, earning strong reader support.
Following the release of their second mini-album ‘Not Just Pretty’, which showcased their musical growth, izna also held their first fan concert, 2025 izna 1st FAN-CON ‘Not Just Pretty’, on January 8th and 9th. Recently, the group surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify, solidifying their global influence and growing presence.
