i-dle's agency is under fire from fans for excessively (or unnecessarily) editing the members' self-taken photos.

On an online forum, netizens discussed the growing frustration among i-dle fans who recently noticed "evidence of extreme photoshop" being applied to the members' selfies, including those of Shuhua and Miyeon.

In the past, Shuhua openly told fans on their communication platform that the company "keeps photoshopping" her pictures "in a weird way," which has made her "angry."

To show her fans the unaltered version, Shuhua shared the original image before the edits allegedly done by her company.

In a series of messages, Shuhua wrote: "They are photos being sent to Neverland... I told the staff not to make them all weird -_- These are photos that I don't even want, so why give them to Neverland...? This has happened many times, so I am just going to say it. I am so done with this!"

After sharing her original selfie, netizens responded that the "original looks much better" than the edited version, questioning why the company had decided to photoshop it at all.

More recently, even "more terribly photoshopped" selfies have reached i-dle fans—this time, of Miyeon.

In the photo, Miyeon's fingers near her chin area appear unnaturally bent and digitally warped, suggesting excessive retouching. As the edits caused the ends of her fingers to look crooked, fans and netizens called out the company for "breaking Miyeon's fingers."

In another image, the tip of her middle finger appears enlarged or swollen, likely a result of repeatedly editing the chin and facial shape.

One netizen remarked: "Cube... You have broken Miyeon's fingers through Photoshop."

In the end, most netizens questioned "why they would even feel the need to edit their photos" when the members already look "flawless" even without any structural alterations, as seen in the images below:

Referring to Miyeon's untouched selfies, netizens expressed their "disappointment" and left comments such as:

"They photoshopped the jawline to an abnormal degree;;; isn’t that basically making her look like she has no chin?"

"She’s already beautiful, so there’s no need to fix her facial proportions. If anything, just touch up small blemishes. And the bent fingers? That probably happened when they used the liquify tool to adjust her face shape—it’s like they don’t even know the basics of photo editing..."

"Cube’s sense of aesthetics, ugh."

"Her skin looks fine anyway, just upload it as is.."

"God, I hate this. What are they doing?"

"The original looks way better—why do they keep doing this?"

"Why would you edit it to make her look worse?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Are they trolling with someone else’s face?ㅠㅠ It feels like an anti-fan sabotage."

"Why though?"

"Are they seriously getting paid for that?? Cube, what are you doing?"

"The original was so much better."

"Is this their first time using Photoshop? It looks so weird;;"

"Why ruin a pretty photo like that?"

"Are they trying to mess with Miyeon or something?"

"It doesn’t even look like Photoshop, more like some low-quality app smudge job...ㅠㅠ"

"Even if you pause a video, her face looks stunning—why would they feel the need to edit it like that? What’s going on with her fingers?"

"The staff’s taste is... really strange."

"Her nose looks stretched out—what are they doing?"

"What the hell... why are they messing up her proportions like that?"

"I saw a video comparing before and after—the eyes were enlarged, the mid-face and jawline slimmed, and even the shoulders made more square. I know celebrities touch up their photos a bit, but Miyeon already has big eyes and a small face, so editing her like a regular person just turns her into an alien. It’s like the staff edited her the way they’d edit their own faceㅠ"

"The fingers look terrifying.. it’s like the agency itself is an anti-fan."

"I seriously hate when entertainment companies over-edit selfies... because of their so-called ‘aesthetic sense,’ they erase all the natural charm. I really, really hate it."

"Wouldn’t it be easier for the staff if they just did less editing?"
