Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has once again clarified her position regarding the ongoing situation with NewJeans.
On November 17, attorney Noh Young Hee of Lawfirm Barun appeared on the YouTube channel 'Maebul Show' to convey Min’s stance.
Earlier, Min had already shared her position during a livestream on Noh’s YouTube channel 'Noh Young Hee TV,' stating, “Ultimately, the issue is aimed at me, but please don’t drag the kids into it. They should be protected, not used.”
During 'Maebul Show,' attorney Noh explained, “(Min said,) ‘I knew all five members were going back to ADOR, I congratulated them, and encouraged them to do well,’ and ‘I wasn’t going to hold anyone back.’” She continued, “HYBE said it would verify the intentions regarding the three members. (Min’s position was,) ‘I fully believed all five would return, the appeal period had already passed, and it was natural they’d go back. I even congratulated them—so why did ADOR create a divided 3:2 structure?’ She found the situation regrettable.”
Noh added, “I didn’t appear on the show to take Min Hee Jin’s side. She initially asked me to represent her legally, and I intended to, but the situation grew too large and I felt I wouldn’t be able to commit fully, so I withdrew. During that process, she said she felt wronged and wanted to express that on ‘Maebul Show,’ which led to her appearance.”
The 'Maebul Show' team noted that any discussion about the division of returning ADOR members “remains in the realm of speculation based on the information currently available.”
Meanwhile, NewJeans declared the termination of their contract with ADOR in November 2024, citing ADOR’s failure to fulfill its obligations. In December, ADOR filed a lawsuit asserting that NewJeans had unilaterally attempted to end their contract, seeking confirmation that the exclusive contract remained valid. After nearly a year of legal disputes, the court recently ruled in ADOR’s favor. All five members—Minji, Danielle, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein—have officially confirmed their return to ADOR.
Korean netizens are expressing outrage and doubt over Min Hee Jin’s sincerity after she reiterated her stance on NewJeans’ return to ADOR. They commented:
"Why would anyone believe her?"
"It seems like she's quickly cutting ties with the three NewJeans members so that she can start new."
"She's abandoning them so fast. lol."
"She was claiming to be NewJeans' mom, now she's abandoning her children..."
