On November 19, actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were named winners of the Popularity Award at the '46th Blue Dragon Film Awards,' held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. The annual ceremony gathered the filmmakers and stars who have led Korean cinema over the past year.
The couple, who have been married for three years, took the stage together as recipients of the Cheongjeongwon Popular Star Award. This marks their first joint appearance at an awards ceremony in five years since the hit drama 'Crash Landing on You.'
Hyun Bin expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m very thankful. I know fans voted diligently to give this award to me, and I sincerely appreciate it.”
Son Ye Jin added, “It’s an honor to receive the Popularity Award with my husband. Thank you for creating an unforgettable memory for us.”
The couple appeared genuinely happy to share the award. Hyun Bin remarked again, “The last time we won an award together was for 'Crash Landing on You.' Today, I’m extremely happy. Thank you.”
Other recipients of the Popular Star Award included Park Jinyoung and YoonA. GOT7’s Jinyoung commented, “I hope to become a popular star like Koo Kyo Hwan, winning two or three times.”
YoonA expressed her gratitude as well, saying, “I’m thrilled to receive the Popularity Award for a character I love so much. I sincerely thank everyone who voted for me.”
