Actress Hyeri has taken the lead in fostering a healthier internet culture.
On November 15, Hyeri attended the “YouTube–Sunfull Foundation Joint Declaration & Awards Ceremony for the ‘Wait a Moment’ Campaign – Creating a Healthy Internet Culture Together,” held at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building.
At the event, Hyeri received the Chairman’s Award from the Sunfull Foundation in recognition of her contributions to spreading positive online culture.
Sponsored by YouTube and organized by the nonprofit Sunfull Foundation, the event was part of the “Wait a Moment” campaign, an initiative designed to share strategies for preventing and reducing cyberbullying and to encourage healthy communication online.
Hyeri has participated in the “YouTube Wait a Moment Campaign” for two consecutive years since 2024. Through the campaign, she has raised awareness about the seriousness of cyberbullying and encouraged people to leave kind, uplifting comments instead of malicious ones, amplifying her positive influence.
At the ceremony, Hyeri shared, “From the moment I was approached, I felt the ‘Wait a Moment’ campaign was incredibly important, so I accepted the offer without hesitation. It’s heartbreaking when people say things online that they would never say face-to-face. I know I can’t change everyone, but I’ll do my best to help more people learn about this wonderful campaign of leaving positive comments.”
The “Wait a Moment” campaign featuring Hyeri continues to roll out a variety of online and offline activities this year under its core message: “Wait a moment! Leave kind comments, not hateful ones!”
