
K-Pop musicians and companies continued to express their grief and condolences over the devastating Hong Kong apartment fire incident of November 26 HKT.
On November 28 KST, HYBE Labels issued the following statement expressing its sympathies for the devastation suffered by Hong Kong residents:
"The 6 representative labels of HYBE Music Group APAC express our collective condolences toward those who tragically perished in the Hong Kong fires. We also offer comfort to those grieving from the unexpected loss of loved ones. We hope that the damages will be contained and the areas affected restored as soon as possible."
Along with the statement, HYBE Labels donated approximately 2,660,000 HKD (~ 340,000 USD) to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, as funds to be used in partnership with local nonprofits to support residents and families affected by the fires.
Additionally on this day, HYBE Labels artists TOMORROW x TOGETHER and CORTIS released official statements offering their condolences to the victims, while notifying fans of their decision to perform at the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' as planned. The two groups relayed,
"After much deliberation, it has been decided that TOMORROW x TOGETHER and CORTIS will participate in the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' to be held at Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium. Keeping in mind that the event will proceed during difficult times, both groups will participate with heavy hearts. Once again, we pray that the victims will rest in peace, and that the damages in the affected areas will be contained and restored as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, the devastating apartment fires which broke out in the Tai Po District in Hong Kong on November 26 HKT has reported 94 deaths as of writing.
