Netflix’s upcoming series 'Beauty in the Beast' (working title, written by Jin Han Sae and directed by Jin Hyuk) has issued an apology after its filming disrupted a popular tourist spot.
On April 4, the production team stated, “We sincerely apologize for causing inconvenience to citizens during filming on the cherry blossom street in Gaegum-dong, Busan, from April 1 to 2.”
The crew had fully closed off approximately 20 meters of the scenic deck path in Gaegum-dong, a well-known cherry blossom destination. The timing coincided with peak crowds, prompting public frustration.

Citizens took to social media, complaining, “Even before filming began, equipment and vehicles took over the narrow path,” and noted that “some nighttime landscape lighting was turned off, making it difficult to enjoy the view.”
The drama team explained, “Filming was conducted with cooperation from Busanjin District Office, the local police, and other relevant departments. Management staff, including police officers, were deployed on-site to oversee the situation.” They added, “We apologize for the inconvenience during a period when many visitors come to the area. Moving forward, we will do our utmost to minimize disruptions.”
'Beauty in the Beast' is a fantasy romance about a girl who transforms into a wolf. The series stars Kim Min Ju, Lomon (Park Solomon), and Moon Sang Min.
