According to media outlet reports on November 28 KST, president Ahn Sung Soo of Gold Medalist has stepped down from his position approximately 9 months after stepping in.
Previously, Ahn Sung Soo was appointed to the position of president in December of 2024, after the resignation of Gold Medalist's former president 'A'. This former president, 'A', is known to have been in position during the mediation of damages incurred by the late actress Kim Sae Ron through her DUI incident.
Ahn Sung Soo, who stepped in after 'A', was then seen attending the press conference held by actor Kim Soo Hyun earlier this year at the end of March, where he denied accusations of dating Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.
Following the press conference, Kim Soo Hyun and Gold Medalist proceeded with an approximately 12 billion KRW lawsuit against Kim Sae Ron's family and the YouTube channel HOVERLAB for defamation, violation of the Information Protection Act, etc.
