BTS’s V captivated fans around the world with his “college sports major boyfriend” charm.
On November 18th KST, V surprised fans by streaming a live one-on-one basketball session on Weverse Live. Wearing comfortable workout clothes, he showed off a look reminiscent of the kind of athletic senior one rarely encounters in real life.
During the livestream, he practiced everything from shooting form to mid-range shots, jump shots, and three-pointers in a short span of time.
After warming up with light stretches and a few three-point attempts, V impressed fans with his skillful ball-handling, shooting, and speed. As the intensity of the game increased, he took off his jacket and continued playing in a sleeveless top.
His tall frame, long legs, and defined arm muscles drew immediate attention, evoking the image of a professional basketball player. Without hesitation, he sprinted forward after removing his top and smoothly landed a clean layup with a flick of his wrist, showing his all-around athletic ability. His dribbling—fluid and elegant—almost looked like he was practicing choreography.
With a sleeveless shirt on and his cap turned backwards, V’s focused shooting posture delivered the full “sports-major oppa” effect.
A natural-born athlete, V has shown impressive talent in a wide variety of sports including basketball, scuba diving, shooting, horseback riding, golf, tennis, table tennis, running, ssireum, skateboarding, and cycling. He was previously chosen by SBS ‘Morning Wide’ as a star they would most like to see compete in the Olympics. In golf, he reportedly achieved a driving distance of 182 meters after just three weeks of practice—showing his exceptional aptitude for any sport.
On August 26th, V took the mound as the ceremonial first pitcher at the LA Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Commentators praised him, saying, “V is a global sensation—an undeniable superstar,” and highlighted his global brand power. They added, “He threw a great breaking ball. You’d want to sign him on the spot,” applauding his impressive pitching.
Meanwhile, even as V continues to lead a busy schedule following his military discharge—appearing at baseball ceremonies, filming commercials, attending fashion week events and pop-ups—he still makes time for his fans, touching hearts with his dedication.
