Fortnite continues to expand its reach thanks to its collaborations with numerous pop culture franchises. Epic Games, the American company that owns the video game, is constantly looking to attract more users, and this time, they're appealing to one of the biggest fandoms in the music industry, as one of the leading figures in K-pop is on her way to the game.
It's Lisa from BLACKPINK, who, according to reports, will be the first K-pop artist to have a live animated performance within the game and headline the Season 12 Fortnite Festival lineup. With this, Lisa joins Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Daft Punk and Sabrina Carpenter as the only major musical artists to date to be part of the Fortnite family.
Fortnite Festival is the music mode within Fortnite where players can perform songs using rhythm notes similar to games like Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Each season has a main star, and now the focus will be on LISA with an event dedicated entirely to her aesthetic and music.
This collaboration will feature a collection of in-game items and songs inspired by her hit solo debut album, "Alter Ego". Players can enjoy and access a LISA outfit along with two freestyle tracks: "Rockstar" and "New Woman," through the in-game store. The Starlux Music Pass includes additional LISA-themed cosmetics, including, as a final reward, the Rockstar outfit seen in the promotional posters for her music video, and an unlockable Rockstar microphone that can be used during the festival. This microphone will sync with several freestyle tracks available in the game, such as "Fxck Up The World (Vixi Solo Version)," "Rockstar," and "New Woman."
Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, as well as PC and mobile devices. If you'd like to enjoy the Lisa from BLACKPINK content, it will be available starting November 29th for a limited time.
