JYP Entertainment officially announced that Chaeyoung, a member of TWICE, will not be participating in the group’s upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur as part of their ongoing World Tour. The performance is scheduled for October 25, 2025, at the National Hockey Stadium.
In a statement released on October 24, the agency cited health-related issues as the reason for Chaeyoung’s absence. “After careful consideration prioritizing the artist’s recovery and well-being, we have decided that Chaeyoung will not be joining the Kuala Lumpur performance,” the company stated. “We sincerely apologize to fans who were looking forward to seeing all nine members on stage and ask for your understanding and continued support.”
This marks the second recent lineup change for TWICE’s tour, following earlier reports of member Jeongyeon’s potential absence from Southeast Asian stops. Despite these setbacks, the group is expected to proceed with the concert as planned, with eight members performing.
The World Tour supports TWICE’s fourth studio album of the same name and spans multiple continents, with upcoming shows in Sydney, Canada, and Europe. The Kuala Lumpur concert remains a highly anticipated event, with fans from across the region gathering for the one-night-only performance.
TWICE’s management emphasized their gratitude for the fans’ patience and understanding, adding, “We will continue to monitor Chaeyoung’s condition and provide updates as necessary.” Fans attending the Kuala Lumpur show can still expect a full-scale production featuring TWICE’s signature choreography, visuals, and live vocals. However, many have taken to social media to express their concern and send well wishes to Chaeyoung, hoping for her swift recovery.
