Actress Song Hye Kyo has unveiled behind-the-scenes photos from her secret cameo, nearly two years after filming.
On October 12, Song shared several photos on social media with the caption, “It’s only my back…” and “A memory I’m thankful for~.”
The newly released images show Song Hye Kyo transformed into a beautiful spirit in a blue dress for her special appearance in 'Genie Make a Wish' the latest drama written by screenwriter Kim Eun Sook and starring Kim Woo Bin and Suzy. In the series, Song Hye Kyo made a surprise appearance as “Jiniya,” the ex-girlfriend of Satan Jini (played by Kim Woo Bin) and a genie who controls rain — a cameo that quickly drew attention.
Before filming, Song was seen checking her look repeatedly on her phone camera, displaying her trademark professionalism. Her fairy-like presence amid the desert setting adds to the ethereal atmosphere of the scene. The photos were taken during filming in February 2023, now revealed to the public for the first time in two years.
In the drama, Song’s character appears as Jini’s ex-girlfriend, engaging in a humorous and fiery face-off with Suzy’s character, captivating viewers with their chemistry.
Some fans even tuned in to 'Genie Make a Wish' just to catch a glimpse of Song Hye Kyo’s cameo.
Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo is preparing for her next project — the upcoming Netflix series 'Show Business' (working title), written by renowned screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung.
