Seo In Young has broken her silence after nine years regarding rumors of a feud with Ga In of Brown Eyed Girls.
Recently, Seo In Young engaged with fans during a live broadcast on social media and mentioned Ga In.
When several fans asked about her current relationship with Ga In, she said, "I'm actually close with Ga In. Back then, I think I acted too hastily and not very senior-like, and some parts hurt me as well." She added, "We've resolved things and are on good terms. Let's not make any more issues out of it," dismissing the feud rumors. When fans expressed curiosity about what had happened between them, she stated, "Nothing happened. There was nothing between Ga In and me," but also hinted, "I'll reveal everything on YouTube, but let's keep it light here."
The rumors mentioned during this livestreaming date back to 2016. At the time, Ga In appeared on MBC's 'Radio Star' alongside Seo In Young and shared a story, "Back when we debuted, In Young unnie seemed to find Narsha unnie cute. She said something like 'She's so cute.'" Seo In Young explained, "(Narsha) greeted me so politely and looked so cute that I thought she was younger than I."
Ga In then added, "Since Narsha is one of the older members of my team, I initially felt annoyed when In Young unnie, who is younger, said 'She's so cute'," to which Seo In Young responded, "You were annoyed? Keep going. So what if you were?" sparking a controversy over her attitude.
Immediately after the broadcast, Seo In Young expressed her displeasure toward Ga In on social media, intensifying the issue. She wrote, "Saying you were annoyed while sitting right next to that person wasn’t appropriate, especially on a broadcast rather than a personal setting. I don’t understand bringing up an issue that Narsha and I had resolved years ago. It was surprising that someone not directly involved said they were annoyed at a senior." She also noted, "Ga In's demeanor before entering the recording and during it was very different, so I had trouble adjusting to her style," adding fuel to the rumors.
