tvN’s new Monday–Tuesday drama 'Nice to Not Meet You,' scheduled to premiere on November 3, released character teaser videos on October 2 featuring the playful charms of “Forever Kang Pil Gu” Lim Hyun Joon (played by Lee Jung Jae) and “Passionate Reporter” Wi Jung Shin (portrayed by Lim Ji Yeon).
'Nice to Not Meet You' tells the story of a fallen national actor and an entertainment reporter obsessed with justice, engaging in a war of disses, fact bombs, and breaking stereotypes. Set against the backdrop of the unpredictable, spectacular entertainment industry—where scandals erupt daily—the drama will deliver unique laughs, empathy, and excitement through the comedic chemistry between a top star and a relentless reporter bound by an irritating fate.
The series has already drawn attention with its impressive lineup, including Lee Jung Jae, Lim Ji Yeon, Kim Ji Hoon, and Seo Ji Hye. Lim Ji Hyun’s teaser highlights her character Wi Jung Shin's fierce professionalism. Her relentless passion for reporting shows her as a hardened veteran unafraid of challenges. Once the ace of the political desk, her life takes a dramatic turn when she’s told, “Just stay in entertainment news for one year.” However, she knows neither the names of popular K-pop idols nor hit national dramas—making her adaptation to the entertainment beat chaotic from the start. In particular, a scene of Wi Jung Shin and Lim Hyun Joon headbutting each other in hospital gowns raises anticipation about their unusual love–hate dynamic.
