Yun Hyeon Jun, the director behind Netflix’s global hit 'Culinary Class Wars,' purchased a Trimage apartment in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, for approximately 5.49 billion KRW (approx. 3.8 million USD) in cash.

According to the official court registry dated October 25, Yun finalized the purchase on June 24, acquiring an 84㎡ unit at Trimage. The full payment was completed on October 13, officially transferring ownership.

The registry indicates no mortgage was registered on the property, suggesting the transaction was entirely cash-based, without bank financing. The deal sets a new record for the 84㎡ units at Trimage. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s real transaction data, the same-sized unit was sold for 3.92 billion KRW (about 2.73 million USD) in July last year and surpassed 5 billion KRW (about 3.47 million USD) earlier this year. Yun’s purchase now establishes the highest price on record at around 5.49 billion KRW (approx. 3.8 million USD).

Yun Hyeon Jun began his career at KBS and JTBC and currently serves as CEO of Studio Slam. Known as a “genre pioneer,” he has developed unique entertainment formats including 'CRIME SCENE,' 'Sing Again,' and 'Just Makeup.'

Notably, Studio Slam’s 'Culinary Class Wars' became the first Korean variety show to rank #1 globally on Netflix, boosting the international profile of K-entertainment. In recognition of this achievement, Yun received the “PD of the Year” award at the 37th Korean PD Awards in April.

Yun currently owns another 84㎡ property near KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Although he has relocated to Seongsu-dong with the Trimage acquisition, he has not sold his previous residence, which is valued at roughly 1.2 billion KRW (about 835,000 USD).

Trimage, completed in 2017, is a luxury residential complex comprising four 47-story towers with 688 units. It is known for its celebrity residents, including BTS members j-hope and Jungkook, Super Junior’s Siwon and Donghae, Girls' Generation’s Taeyeon and Sunny, actor Seo Kang Joon, golfer Park Se Ri, and footballer Son Heung Min.
