Actor Park Si Hoo is making a comeback to the big screen after 10 years with the film 'Choir of God.'
'Choir of God' is a work that tells the story of events that unfold when a fake praise group is formed in North Korea to earn foreign currency. The film has gained much attention for its fresh premise as "the first music film set against the backdrop of North Korea." Furthermore, large-scale location filmings were conducted, spanning Mongolia and Hungary.
The launch poster, released on October 17, captures the unique visual of North Korean propaganda. It shows the backdrop of a majestic snow-covered mountain with actor Park Si Hoo in a military uniform alongside orchestra members, each playing a microphone, trumpet, or cello, stimulating curiosity about the identity and purpose of the 'Choir of God' they have formed.

Meanwhile, this marks actor Park Si Hoo's return to the big screen for the first time in 10 years as he takes on the lead role. In the film, he plays the protagonist 'Gyo Soon,' a cool-headed North Korean State Security Department officer who leads the fake choir. He is expected to bring delicate portrayals of the emotional change his character experiences through the ordeals.
Joining him as another protagonist in opposition is actor Jung Jin Woon, from the group 2AM, and a solid supporting cast with excellent acting skills, including Tae Hang Ho, Jang Ji Geon, Yoon Je Moon, Moon Kyung Min, and Han Jung Wan, promises perfect synergy. The film is directed by Kim Hyung Hyup, who previously delivered pleasant laughter and warm emotion with the film 'Daddy You, Daughter Me.'
'Choir of God' is set to premiere in theaters nationwide in December.
