The K-pop band recently revealed their official lightstick design, which resembles a megaphone. While QWER fans argue the design is inspired by the megaphone that member Siyeon frequently used during concerts, some fans of The Boyz claim it bears too close a resemblance to their group's iconic lightstick.
The controversy centers on the similarities and differences between the two designs. The Boyz’s lightstick features a megaphone shape with a heart-shaped cone, while QWER’s design opts for a circular one. Despite this distinction, many fans are debating whether QWER’s concept crosses the line into imitation.
The online community has been divided, with many agreeing that QWER's lightstick is too similar to The Boyz's unique lightstick, but some are saying the megaphone design is not original to The Boyz. They commented:
