
BTS member V’s solo track “FRI(END)S” is continuing its remarkable success in the global music market.
The digital single has surpassed 540 million streams on the world’s largest music platform, Spotify.
The track was featured as background music in season 3 of the hit American drama 'The Summer I Turned Pretty',

Prepared as a gift for fans ahead of his military enlistment, the song was released on March 15, 2024, and quickly climbed the charts — debuting at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 3 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 5 on the Global 200.
In the U.K., “FRI(END)S” entered the Official Singles Chart at No. 13 and stayed on the ranking for two consecutive weeks. On the Official Big Top 40, it shot up to No. 3 despite only two days of tracking.
The single also reached No. 1 on Worldwide iTunes and the European iTunes charts, and became the first 2024 release to top the iTunes chart in 100 countries.
It was also chosen by Amazon Music and Apple Music as one of the “Best K-pop Songs of 2024.”
The music video for “FRI(END)S,” filmed in the U.K., highlighted V’s expressive acting and cinematic sensibilities. Upon release, it held the No. 1 spot on YouTube’s global trending music chart for 14 consecutive days and made history as the first K-pop artist video to top the U.S. TIDAL Top Video chart.
It continues to dominate TIDAL’s top video rankings across multiple countries, maintaining its strong popularity.
