'Haegeum' blends the timbre of the traditional Korean string instrument haegeum with hard-hitting hip-hop, using the homonym “haegeum” to play on both the instrument and the idea of “lifting a ban,” centering the theme of freedom. The video stands out for its noir-style mood, tight storytelling, and tension, driven by the clash between the characters “Being” and “Exister” and a dramatic twist.
Completing the Agust D trilogy that began with the mixtapes 'Agust D' and 'D 2', the album 'D DAY' saw Suga write, compose, and produce across the set, steering overall concept and structure. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart dated May 6, 2023 ET.
