Webtoon artist Park Tae Joon, known for his hit series 'Lookism', has filed for divorce with his former girl group member wife, Choi Soo Jung.
On August 28 KST, a representative of Park Tae Joon's side confirmed with media outlets, "It's true that Park Tae Joon and Choi Soo Jung divorced last year. The divorce was completed through a mutual settlement by both sides."
However, the artist's side denied previous rumors of an ongoing legal dispute over the division of the couple's assets. "The division of assets was also mutually agreed upon during the settlement. The reports that the couple is currently involved in a legal dispute are false," Park Tae Joon's rep clarified.
Meanwhile, Park Tae Joon publicly revealed that he had registered his marriage with Choi Soo Jung in 2020 during an appearance on MBC's 'Radio Star'. Following the massive success of his webtoon 'Lookism', Park Tae Joon established the webtoon production company PTJ Comics. Choi Soo Jung, on the other hand, debuted in the Korean-Chinese girl group Lotte Girls in 2010. She also made an appearance on MBC's 'I Live Alone' as a close friend of MAMAMOO's Hwa Sa.
