Comedian couple Kang Jae Jun and Lee Eun Hyung have addressed criticism after sharing YouTube videos that showed their young son during moments of illness, including trips to the emergency room.
On August 27, the couple posted a video on their YouTube channel, KIYU TV, addressing the concerns. Kang explained, "We know some people don't view this positively. But I thought it would be a meaningful record for Hyun Jo when he grows up. That's why we filmed it."

Their channel has frequently featured clips of their son struggling with health issues or being taken to the ER. Just a week after his first birthday party, he was rushed to the hospital again with symptoms of gastroenteritis. Even on the way there, Lee Eun Hyung was seen holding a camera toward the child in the back seat, where he appeared uncomfortable and eventually broke into tears.
Kang Jae Jun has also shared late-night updates on social media about his son being unwell, often asking for parenting advice from more experienced parents among his followers.
Lee added in the couple's defense, "We never filmed in truly urgent situations. The recordings were made once my son was resting or asleep. We understand that some people may still feel uncomfortable with it."

Despite the explanation, netizens continued their backlash. Viewers criticized the couple for prioritizing filming over their child's well-being, with comments including, "If your child is sick, would you really have time to turn on a camera?" "If you are really worried about your child, you don't have room to do other things like filming," and "This feels excessive." Others also raised concerns about filming inside emergency rooms, pointing out that it could disturb hospital staff and other patients. Many argued that if the intention was simply to keep memories, the footage should have been stored privately rather than uploaded to YouTube.
Meanwhile, Kang Jae Jun and Lee Eun Hyung married in 2017 and welcomed their son after seven years of marriage. Initially, the couple was widely congratulated; however, their constant content covering their pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting has left some viewers fatigued. This latest controversy has amplified that sentiment.
