On August 5 KST, BigHit Music officially denied circulating claims that BTS would be participating in a Michael Jackson tribute album.
The company stated:
“The reports about BTS recording at Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland and participating in the Michael Jackson tribute album are not true.”
BigHit added that BTS has never recorded at the mentioned studio and emphasized that it is taking steps to prevent the spread of inaccurate information. “We remain committed to supporting our artists,” the agency added.
The rumors had gained traction online under the keyword “Michael Jackson x BTS”, fueling speculation among fans. However, the label’s clear statement has since quelled the confusion.
Meanwhile, although all members are currently fulfilling their military service, BTS recently made waves on the Billboard 200 by placing 10th with their first live album 'Permission to Dance on Stage – LIVE'. Their full-group comeback is expected in spring 2026, heightening anticipation worldwide.
