Jisoo, one of the standout participants from the Netflix original dating reality series ‘Better Late Than Single’, revealed during a recent appearance that she once received a direct message (DM) from a well-known male celebrity.
On August 26th KST, Jisoo appeared on the YouTube show ‘Neighborhood Star K Show’, alongside fellow cast members Minhong and Yeomyeong. Host Jonathan asked if any of them had been contacted by celebrities following the show. Jisoo replied, “Yes, I actually have.”
Though she refrained from revealing the celebrity’s name, she added, “I remember thinking, ‘Why would he message me of all people?’ It really caught me off guard.” Jonathan jokingly prodded further, asking, “Was it someone whose music you’ve listened to a lot?” while Minhong quipped, “Imagine how nervous he’d be if he sees this clip now,” sparking laughter among the group.
Jisoo gained attention on ‘Better Late Than Single’ for her striking visuals and heartfelt story. She had previously opened up about being unable to date due to trauma stemming from a past stalking incident, which moved viewers and drew public sympathy.
Although she chose Seungri as her final partner on the show, the two did not continue dating afterward. Reflecting on the experience, Jisoo shared: “I truly joined the show because I wanted to try dating. I was looking for a fresh start in my life. After the show ended, I did keep in touch with Seungri, but things didn’t really work out.”
Despite the romance not blossoming, her candidness and resilience have continued to resonate with viewers.
